Our Latest Design
With a focus on blending proven tradition and new technology, Domeyer Scull Boats created this fiberglass vessel with the same humboldt-style design—but half the weight—of its wooden counterpart. The functionality and durability of the Heinie will surprise even the most discriminating scullers. Whether you are just a beginner or a seasoned sculler, you will find the Heinie unmatched in performance and functionality.
Unlike all other composite scull boats currently being produced, the Heinie is unique in that it uses a
seamless hull
construction, maintaining a sleek transition from the bottom of the hull to the top—just like the original wood design. In the interest of durability, the boat’s hull is multi-layer,
hand-laid fiberglass
that is stronger than its wooden predecessor and easy to repair. The transom’s scull hole has the traditional
leather lining
, providing less friction on the sculling oar when properly greased during sculling. Our hull design also allows the customer to customize their
coaming height
and location of the
oar locks
. We offer features such as our unique
keel drain system
and
flooring
that increase the functionality of the boat without sacrificing its’ traditional look.
Domeyer Scull Boats gives you the options that no other scull boat builder does. Combine this with the time proven design and craftsmanship of our boat and the Heinie distinguishes itself as the todays premier scull boat. You can see our specifications below, or
