Our Manufacturing Technique

Our scull boats are constructed of the finest materials available. The hulls use plies of a finely woven lightweight aircraft grade fiberglass cloth. We hand build each and every product to ensure the best quality and the finished product has maximum strength at a reduced weight. Core mat ribs are used in the cockpit area and on the deck for strengthening and rigidity. This results in a high fiber to resin ratio and a stronger laminate than with a standard lay-up at a reduced weight. In a composite scull boat the majority of the strength is derived from the fiber not the resin, and once you exceed a fiber to resin ratio of approximately 40% by weight you don't get more strength, just more mass. The resin that is used is a high quality marine vinyl ester which weighs 8 1/2 lbs. per gallon. Combined with our focus on quality, performance and durability, these factors will offer a product that you to will be handing down to your son or daughter.
